Who We Are

Now that you see us, come and hear us!
We love to sing, and that is why we decided to all get together and bring some harmony to the world. We have the voices of angels (hee hee), and some of us the souls of the same too. We sing A Capella because in that way we can bring harmonious melodies wherever we go. No band to cart along, just our vocal cords and the rest of our bodies. When you hear us, we're sure you'll agree that is all we need. For our performance schedule, please go to the next page. For some background info on our individual members, just scroll down or click on a name.
We are Under Construction, so please be patient while our information is added.

Christina Hildebrandt

Christina has been leading Harmonia for the past few years as artistic director. "Leading this many people has been a challenging and wonderful stretch for me. It's given me an appreciation for different learning styles and
personalities, and how to channel every member's energy into making beautiful music."
Christina loves all kinds of music, and especially enjoys harmonically challenging, quirky music, such as the Early American genre. "Those pieces are real historical treasures; they provide a glimpse into the mind of early America. Someday I'd like to do a whole concert of them!"

Keith

Keith joined Harmonia in 2001, looking for another outlet where he could enjoy making good music. "The ensemble madrigal format is lots of fun, but can be a challenge as each member of the group feels exposed much of the time." Keith likes all styles of music, although the traditional madrigal pieces are the easiest for him to master. "I like it if the harmonies take over and lift us to new levels. That makes any piece my favorite!"

Louis Warshawsky, tenor
|
Lou is a recovering nerd and amateur musician. He programs other people's computers for money. For pleasure he studies the harpsichord and has been a chorister since the Johnson administration. He is one of the original members of the Ars Nova Singers. "I realized several years ago that the more music I was making the happier I was," he says. "Harmonia gives me the opportunity to perform Jazz, pop, and Broadway repertoire in addition to the classics." For francophones and beautiful women he will answer to Louie.
